Appraisal Services

Auctions Systems Auctioneers & Appraisers, Inc., specializes in both auctions and appraisals. Functioning together, auctions and appraisals are two aspects of our business that create a synergy, yielding distinct benefits for all our clients.

Auction Systems’ appraisals are typically based, among other factors on auction sale pricing comparables. By regularly monitoring our own and other auctions around the country, Auction Systems’ research staffers and appraisers accumulate superior knowledge of value. Thus our appraisals are timely, accurate and fully supportable.

In making such as appraisals there are three critical elements. They are:

  • A comprehensive database of comparable recent sales. It is an invaluable tool in making predictions about potential value and Auction Systems’ staff of appraisers and researchers invests considerable time in gathering and updating such information.
  • Knowledge of the marketplace, the realities of the buy-sell equation, and the likelihood that a particular collection of assets can be readily converted into a specific amount of cash. That quality is a function of experience.
  • Respect for the appraisal function as more of a science than an art. Accuracy is vital. If the appraisal is too conservative the bank may refuse the loan and both parties will suffer. If the appraised value is too high and the business should later fail, the bank will not be adequately protected. It is a precise business and Auction Systems understands that making an appraisal is a major challenge. It is a responsibility Auction Systems does not assume lightly.

Our prime consideration is proper estimation of value, whether your appraisal involves real property, personal property or inventories. With an Auctions Systems’ appraisal, you're assured that the valuation concept utilized is appropriate and that every value quoted is accurate and fully supportable. That's why major lending institutions across the Southwest recommend Auction Systems Auctioneers & Appraisers.

Computerized Speed and Accuracy

The heart of Auction Systems’ appraisal process is a proprietary database management system that stores all pricing information gathered from our auctions and many other sources, then organizes it according to item categories for fast reference. When an Auction Systems’ appraiser returns from the appraisal field review, the computerized system helps organize the newly collected data and assists in cross-referencing items with available pricing information. This gives the appraiser a clear overview of values--values that are then refined based on the appraiser's experience, judgment and on-site observations. Finally, the system generates the appraisal document, exercising a number of built-in, fail-safe mechanisms to eliminate common clerical errors. As a result, the hallmark of an Auctions Systems’ appraisal is accuracy based on an amalgam of supportable data, experienced judgment, and technological precision. Clients can trust an Auctions Systems’ appraisal to be right on the money every time.
